Dogs have a natural need to chew, as you'll recognize from your dog. The DOG FIT by PreThis® chew stick combines three things: dental care, activity, and relaxation for your dog.
Our dogs' ancestor, the wolf, literally eats its prey, skin and hair. It eats a species-appropriate diet, and the fur, muscle meat, cartilage, tendons, and bones of its prey clean its teeth.
Unfortunately, our dogs can no longer benefit from this, so it's up to us to do something to ensure healthy teeth. With DOG FIT by PreThis® chew sticks, this is now possible in a natural, sustainable, and species-appropriate way.
To ensure that chewing on wood not only brings joy to your dog but also supports dental cleaning, we searched for a long time for a suitable type of wood. We found it in the special wood of the coffee tree.

Dogs can develop varying degrees of force when chewing, and it's possible that pieces of our coffee tree wood chew stick will break off. If this happens, please remove the pieces to prevent your dog from swallowing them. In addition, the chew sticks wear down and become smaller over time, so it's advisable to replace the product in a timely manner. If your dog has loose teeth, sensitive teeth, or tends to chew the product directly, causing pieces to break off, we recommend avoiding use.

The coffee is grown under strict guidelines, without the use of pesticides or artificial fertilizers. This allows our suppliers, small coffee farmers from Vietnam, to earn extra money. They are paid fairly and provided for. With every purchase, you also support their families!
Our chew sticks made of coffee tree wood are natural products and therefore have an individual shape. The sizes of the chew sticks are divided into 7 weight classes and are usually suitable for your dog. However, mixed breeds can also have a larger or smaller mouth. If you are unsure or your dog is on the border between two weight classes, please choose the next smaller size to begin with.
When chewing, dogs can develop different levels of strength and it can happen that pieces of our coffee tree wood chew stick come off. If this happens, please remove the pieces immediately to prevent the dog from swallowing them. In addition, the chew sticks wear out over time and become smaller, so it is also advisable to replace the product in good time. If your dog has loose teeth, sensitive teeth or tends to bite the product directly so that pieces come off, we recommend avoiding its use.

The sizes of the chew sticks are therefore divided into 7 weight classes and are usually suitable for the dog. However, mixed breeds can also have a larger or smaller mouth. If the dog is on the border between two weight classes, it is recommended to take the next smaller size to start with.
For orientation, in addition to our division into weight classes, here are the approximate measurements:
mini (up to 3 kg): approx. 14 cm x 1.5 cm
x-tra small (3 to 7 kg): approx. 17 cm x 2 cm
small (7 to 11 kg): approx. 19 cm x 2.5 cm
medium (11 to 15 kg): approx. 20 cm x 3.5 cm
large (15 to 22 kg): approx. 24 cm x 4.5 cm
x-tra large: (22 to 40 kg): approx. 26.5 cm x 5 cm
mega large (from 40 kg): approx. 28 cm x 7 cm
Ich lebe mit meinen Hunden in einer Stadt und in unserem Park liegt leider kaum Holz rum, da sind die Kauhölzer schon prima und werden gut von ihnen angenommen!!
Meine zwei Hunde, beide um die 16 kg, sind sehr unterschiedlich was ihr Kauverhalten angeht. Der eine ist eher der normale Kauer und das Kaffeebaumholz ist perfekt für ihn, der andere ist ein Zerspaner :-) Was er ins Maul bekommt, atomisiert er in Windeseile, als wenn einer hinter ihm her wäre. Für ihn war die reguläre Größe zu klein. Das Holz hatte er in ein paar Minuten in tausend Teile zerlegt. Es wird auch beim Produkt darauf hingewiesen, von daher absolut in Ordnung. Sandra hat mir dann geraten es mit zwei Nummern größer zu versuchen und siehe da es hält deutlich länger und wird nicht direkt zerlegt! Für die Leser die es interessiert, die Erklärung dazu war folgende: Das Holz wird durch den Speichel weich und faserig und animiert den Hund drauf zu kauen und es nicht direkt zu zerlegen. Ich kann nur sagen bei meinem Hund war es genau so. Top Tipp, danke!
Habe das Kauholz zusammen mit dem Zahnsteinmittel bestellt. Er kaut fleißig drauf rum und das Zahnsteinmittel zeigt schon nach einigen Wochen seine Wirkung. Wirklich super!
Meine kleine Miki mochte nie was zum kauen, Holz schon mal überhaupt nicht, gar nix. Ein tolles und sehr lehrreiches Telefonat mit Vanessa vom Team (auch zum Futter) und inzwischen rückt sie es gar nicht mehr raus bis es durchgeknabbert ist :-) Woran hats gelegen? Sie hatte es einfach nie gelernt! Mit Geduld, Stöckchenspielen, Belohnungen etc. war dann der Besitzanspruch auf einmal da und ruck zuck gings ans Holz :-) Wieder was gelernt! Und soviel Zeit für Kunden nimmt sich sonst niemand! Klasse!!
... zuerst hat ihn meine verwöhnte Dame überhaupt nicht angeschaut, aber dank Sandras super Tipp (10 Minuten in Hühnerbrühe legen und dann trocknen lassen) knabbert sie seit dem mit großem Spaß drauf rum. Endlich etwas für die Zahnpflege gefunden! Danke!
Wir haben schon einige Hölzer probiert und entweder splittern sie oder die Hunde mochten sie nicht. Das größte Problem waren immer die Backenzähne und da kamen wir mit nichts richtig ran. Die Kausticks haben das Problem gelöst und die Hunde kauen richtig gerne drauf rum! Super!
Unsere zwei Hund bekommen das White gegen Zahnstein und die Kauhölzer. Sie kauen sie sehr gerne und sind damit auch gut beschäftigt. Zuerst dachte ich das Holz ist ganz schön hart, doch sobald sie vollgesabbert sind :-) werden sie tatsächlich weich und fasrig. Durch das White ist der Zahnstein inzwischen fast weg, wirkt ganz klasse. Jetzt wird nach jedem Fressen erst einmal eine Runde auf den Hölzern gekaut. Kann ich nur empfehlen!
Unser Riesenschnautzer holt auch riesen Äste aus dem Wald :-) Das Kauholz in Xl ist da genau richtig für ihn. Und es splittert nicht, das finden wir klasse!
Sonst lässt Jack alles Knabberzeug links liegen, aber das Holz mag er gerne. Klasse Sache und kannte ich noch gar nicht. Danke Sandra für den Tipp!
