In the case of special diseases of the joints a combination of nutrients is a tried and tested approach to giving the dog a piece of quality of life again. Especially in diseases such as patellar luxation (kneecap dislocation) and hip dysplasia (malformation of the hip joint), but also other diseases of the musculoskeletal system (with arthrosis as a secondary disease), our nutrient combination has proven to be extremely effective both prophylactically and in acute cases.

The JOINTS combination - tried and tested for almost 20 years

The certified feed supplements for ;supply the organism with valuable micronutrients in optimally usable doses and with high bioavailability. A combination of natural micronutrients in JOINTS and JOINTS greenshell, tailored to the special requirements, support elastic, yet firm and resistant cartilage and soft tissue and promote its ability to regenerate. Furthermore, the joint-stabilizing fascia (connective tissue), ligaments and tendons, which play a key role in fixing the kneecap and correcting misalignments, are strengthened. Pain and anti-inflammatory ingredients provide relief in acute situations.

The additionally stimulated production of sovial fluid (coll. synovial fluid) ensures better gliding and buffering ability within the joints. The naturally contained B vitamins alleviate nerve injuries that can occur, for example, as a result of a patellar luxation and arthrosis. In this way, pain can be alleviated, shocks can be buffered well again, patella dislocations can be stabilized, secondary diseases (arthrosis) can be prevented or alleviated in acute cases and the joy of movement can be restored. Prevention and treatment - support for arthrosis

One of the strengths of JOINTS lies in osteoarthritis prophylaxis, which can often prevent worse things, especially in the case of a patellar luxation, but also in the event of incipient dysplasia. However, if joint and cartilage wear, painful inflammation and other degenerative joint damage has already occurred, JOINTS can stimulate the rebuilding of the damaged cartilage tissue, strengthen its buffering properties, reduce pain and inflammation and dogs help to achieve pain-free movement sequences again. In the case of dysplasia, the JOINTS combination can play to its full strength.

Luxation of the patella - the dislocation of the kneecap

A patellar luxation (lateral jumping out of the Kneecap) is very common in smaller dogs, but also occasionally in large breeds. In the lower grades 1 to 2, a patellar luxation is usually "only" a hindrance for the dog and in rare cases painful. The kneecap usually slips back into place on its own. From grade 3, however, pain can increase, there is a risk of arthrosis and in some cases the kneecap must be manually repositioned. In addition to nerve injuries, inflammation can also develop.

An operation should always be the last resort. Surgically reopening the canal and fixing the disc in small breeds may be luck, but it's definitely not the norm. We see unsuccessful surgeries almost every day. Unfortunately, some vets still recommend early surgery. From our 30 years of experience, we can also say unequivocally that many operations could have been avoided.

However, there are also cases where surgery is the last option and with a grade 4 it is inevitable. Until then, however, there is usually still room for improvement. An operation cannot be reversed, but therapy with micronutrients is not dangerous. Although a luxating patella cannot be cured, it can be made very tolerable for the dog in this way and the progression of the disease can be significantly slowed down. Depending on the degree, a complete freedom from symptoms can also be achieved.

A patellar dislocation also changes the gait pattern and one-sided strain occurs. Arthrosis can develop not only in the joint affected by the luxated patella, but also in other joints. The JOINTS combination has a very broad prophylactic effect and alleviates existing osteoarthritis. Unfortunately, arthrosis cannot be cured either, but it can be treated well in the early stages.
